Meet Emma Walker, Founder Director

I’m Emma Walker, founder of Change The Chat. I’ve spent years supporting almost 900 people and more than 200 organisations in workplaces, universities and other environments where speaking up can feel daunting. My experience helps you gain clarity, confidence and practical strategies to tackle difficult conversations safely. I’m passionate about building cultures that listen, learn and act.

Building confidence to transform cultures.

  • Empower individuals to speak up at university, in workplaces or in life’s tricky conversations.

Change The Chat does not place money, reputation, status, power or 'the party' over or above human beings. We exist to ensure that everyone is safe from harm. If you can't afford a session, if you're a man who has been hurt at work, if you don't know where to turn...talk to us. There is always a way. You're not alone. â€‹

How we protect you

Change The Chat is independent and confidential. We give individuals and organisations a safe space to build confidence, explore their options and act without fear of judgement. Clear guidance, honest advice and practical steps make sure every action is informed and supported.

People first. Always.

We care for all humans.

We don't debate their rights...or their existence.

We love a good debate at Change The Chat. We'll discuss just about any topic. Except for one thing...

We don't chat about the rights of folks to live their life free from abuse. We are informed by an intersectional framework which recognises and interrogates transphobia, ableism, misogynoir, homophobia and the experiences of marginalised communities. â€‹â€‹
